Safety & Trust
Helping build a safe, respectful and trustworthy community.
Meet safely
Whenever possible, meet during daylight hours and in a public place. If collecting a large item from someone's home, let a friend or family member know where you're going, and avoid attending alone. If something doesn't feel right, you can cancel the exchange.
Protect your privacy
Roskalava only displays your approximate location, such as your city or neighbourhood. Your exact address is never shown publicly — share it privately only after you've agreed to the exchange, and never share unnecessary personal information.
Communicate through Roskalava
We recommend using Roskalava's built-in messaging to arrange collections. This keeps conversations organised and makes it easier to report inappropriate behaviour if needed.
Be honest
Describe items accurately, use clear photos, mention any defects, keep your appointments and let the other person know if your plans change. Honest communication builds trust throughout the community.
Report suspicious activity
Help keep Roskalava safe by reporting fake accounts, spam, fraud, harassment, inappropriate messages, illegal items or misleading listings. Every report is reviewed carefully.
Safe exchanges
When collecting, inspect the item, make sure it matches the listing and ask questions if unsure. When giving away, explain the condition clearly, remove personal belongings and be available at the agreed time.
What you can report
Fake accounts, spam, fraud, harassment, illegal items, offensive content and misleading listings can all be reported using the Report feature.
What happens next
Every report is reviewed by our moderation team. Depending on the situation we may contact the user, remove content, suspend accounts or permanently ban repeat offenders — always to keep Roskalava safe, fair and welcoming.
